Battle Preparation

1. Choose Rivals

Tick the box next to the oponents crew (and add one if this is the first fight agains each other) and gain 1 Reach if that is a first fight or the number of ticket boxes is less than any other rival in the list.

Underdog/Overdog

Player with lower reputation is Underdog - in case of tie Roll Off to decide.

2. Nominate Leader

Choose a model with Natural Leader Perk that is not Absent.

  • If a leader is Absent - choose one of the Champions (or Grunts if no Champion available) to be a leader
  • If there is no model with Natural Leader Perk in the crew list - choose one of the Champions (or Grunts if no Champion available) to gain Natural Leader Perk for that game. Underdog may hire a Legend instead.

3. Create the Deployment Pool

Take 2 Search Tokens

4. Determine Objectives

Note

If that is a fifth game (see 1. Choose Rivals step) - choose Annihilation
If any player complete Tier 3 goals - choose Ascension

Overdog rolls for objective

1-2 Overdog raid If Underdog is Nomad it is a Wasteland encounter instead
3-5 Wasteland encounter Overdog can spend 2 Scouting Points to make it Overdog raid
6-8 Wasteland encounter Underdog can spend 2 Scouting Points to make it Underdog raid
9-10 Underdog raid If Overdog is Nomad it is a Wasteland encounter instead

Rounds: No limit
Deployment Pool: +4 Search Tokens (6 in total)
Goal: Incapacitate all enemy models (or make it Retreat)

Location: Wastelands
Attacker: Player who complete all Tier 3 objectives (or Underdog if both complete)
Rounds: 6
Deployment Pool: +6 Objective Tokens, +6 Search Tokens (8 in total)
Goal: Need to Score Objectives

Location: Defender's Home Turf
Attacker: Based on previous roll
Attacker has to pick one of the objectives

Deployment Pool: +4 Search Tokens (6 in total)
Starting Positions: Defender may place one model in base contact with each Search Token not within the attacker’s setup area Special Rules: Only defender can make Rummage Action (if token is Uncontested)
Goal: Fight for search tokens
