Companions
Companions are non-human models — robots and creatures — that can be bonded to a Champion in any crew. [Folio pg. 97]
Acquiring Companions
Any Champion (including Leaders) may take one of two Companion Perks when a crew is created or when taking the Recruit Story Action. No Champion may have more than one Companion Perk.
| Perk | What it does |
|---|---|
| Roboteer | Choose one model from the Robot Companions list. |
| Creature Tamer | Choose one model from the Creature Companions list. |
Taking a Companion Perk has no SPECIAL requirements. The chosen Companion's Rating is added to the Champion's Rating on the Crew Roster.
Using Companions
- Any number of Champions in a crew may each take a Companion Perk.
- Companions are ignored during the Treat the Wounded step of the Story Phase.
- When making an Intelligence Test for a Companion, you may use the Intelligence value of the bonded Champion, provided that Champion is on the Battlefield.
Companion Status
| Condition | Effect |
|---|---|
| Champion is Absent | The bonded Companion is also Absent. |
| Champion is removed from the crew | The Companion is also removed from the crew. |
