The Minutemen: How to Start
Boston is an area steeped in a rich history, part of which has inspired the Minutemen. Not trained soldiers, but rather a rallied citizen militia, the Minutemen take their name from the promise of being able to respond to a citizen's call at a minute's notice. Belief in that promise was almost stamped out for good in September 2287 when the town of Quincy was slaughtered by the Gunners, a massacre that the Minutemen were unable to prevent. All is not lost, however — word speaks of teams of uniformed volunteers marching out to protect those in need and the creaky crank of Laser Muskets being heard once more. [Battle for Boston pg. 71]
All of the models in a Minutemen crew must be chosen from the Minutemen Crew List. [Battle for Boston pg. 71]
Crew Limits
The crew's Tier imposes a number of limits on it, as explained in the rules for creating a custom crew. [Battle for Boston pg. 71]

Playstyle
The Minutemen are a numerous, mobile faction built around the Covering Fire Perk, which every model in the faction has innately — letting your crew reposition in reaction to Enemy movement and keep guns trained on advancing threats. The Colonel is a well-rounded Leader (P6 I6) who pairs Covering Fire with Natural Leader, while Lieutenants give you affordable Champion bodies. Riflemen are your ranged specialists, from the cheap Submachine Gun up to the long-range Hardened Sniper Rifle. Breachers bring the Broadsider, a Heavy weapon capable of clearing clustered models, and cheap Pipe Revolver melee options. Militia are the cheapest Grunts in the game (as low as 10 points for a Pipe Pistol), letting you flood the board with activations — though no more than half of your Grunts may be Militia. The Rapid Response Ploy boosts first-Round Covering Fire moves from 2" to 3", while Mortar Bombardment delivers reliable area damage anywhere on the table.
