Measuring Distances

All distances in Fallout: Factions are measured in inches (“). Players can use a ruler but a retractable tape measure is ideal.

Most commonly, measurements in Fallout: Factions are taken from above, meaning that differences in height are often unimportant, however, some rules, such as Elevation and Climbing will track vertical distance as much as horizontal.

When measuring to, or from a model, measure to or from the closest edge of its Base, relative to the intended target (be that an enemy attack, desired movement location, etc). Similarly, any distances measured to or from a Token are measured to or from its closest edge.

Players are allowed to check measurements and distances whenever they like.
