Control Campaign

Quick Reference
  • Simpler campaign mode; crews compete for Control over strategic locations.
  • Full rules in the Battle for Nuka-World Starter Set.
  • Rulebook crews (BoS, Super Mutants, Survivors, Wasteland Raiders) use these Control Limits: Tier 1: 5 | Tier 2: 10 | Tier 3: 15.
  • No Home Turf or Facilities — locations are contested each game.

Control Campaign

Control Campaigns (such as the one found in the Battle for Nuka-World Starter Set) are intended to provide a simpler experience for first-time players or those new to Fallout: Factions. In this campaign, crews fight over Control as they attempt to snatch key strategic landmarks from each other. [Folio pg. 9]

Control Campaigns have the advantage of flexibility — crews can fight for the Wasteland on the move, slotting in with players from outside your own regular group. [Folio pg. 9]

Rules coming with Battle for Boston

The current Control Campaign rules are found in the Battle for Nuka-World Starter Set rulebook. The upcoming Battle for Boston rulebook will contain a fully revised Control Campaign that replaces them. This site will publish the full rules once Battle for Boston is released.

Looking to play the Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, Survivors, or Wasteland Raiders in a Control Campaign? You will need a Control Limit before heading out. Use the following Control Limit for each Tier when using one of these four crews: [Folio pg. 9]

Each faction has three Control Quest Lines — one per Tier. See each faction's Quests page for their Control Quest Lines:
